About the Event
Join us to hear from Rahul Choudhary, one of 2021’s Right Livelihood Awardees. Choudhary is an Environmental Lawyer based in New Delhi, India and a trustee of Legal Initiative for Forest & Environment (LIFE), an organization that works for “environmental democracy”. LIFE assists communities across India that are affected by various industrial and developmental projects in understanding environmental issues and their rights.
Choudhary as an Environmental Lawyer helps communities, individuals and CSOs in accessing courts and other forums in environmental issues. He will talk about environmental law in India and the National Green Tribunal, discussing his experiences with fighting various environmental cases in the courts and the National Green Tribunal.
