Over the next three decades the world urban population is expected to rise by over two billion people with China and India alone accounting for almost a third of this. This rapid urbanization will bring myriad challenges for these economies spanning employment, housing, resource management, environmental degradation as well as societal tensions. The conference will bring together five speakers from Canada, the USA and India to discuss the recent urbanization experience of India and their lessons for the future.
